The alarm has sounded
My clock set anew
I once fell
But dawn is rising soon
It’s time to tan
In the burning afternoon
I’ve pleaded Helios ‘til dawn
For his chariot not to loom
But the sun passes still
And now I’m in hot pursuit
Of the molten red flame
Cauterizing black and blue
I’m driving away from this place
Lonely city in rearview
I fast near the road...
