I saw love murdered
On the courthouse stairs today
Blood, law, and order
As justice looked the other way
I saw peace hung dead
From the top of a flagpole
As a man lost his head
On the streets down below
The liberty bell rung its chorus
As a government stumbled
Right before us
I watched evil win
By a jury unanimous
They cuffed our hands
As authority laughed at us
I saw a revolution
